NDPC celebrates the launch of the CARE website

Mental health challenges affect more than 85 million people across Europe, calling for institutions to collaborate and offer innovative solutions. CARE – Culture for Mental Health is one such initiative, offering solutions by using the transformative power of arts and health collaboration to enhance mental health and well-being.
As a partner of CARE, NDPC celebrates the website launch of the project and proud to support collaboration between the arts and cultural sectors with healthcare to tackle mental health issues, focusing on youth, working adults, and vulnerable communities. The platform’s main goal is to contribute to the integration of arts and culture into different sectors to create solutions at both the individual and structural levels.
The activities are not limited but usually focus on the following themes:
- Youth mental health
- Work-related well-being
- Culture on prescription
- The well-being of artists
- Festivals’ engagement with social well-being
Key Actions of the Project:
- Offering Knowledge & Capacity Building: Through trainings, workshops, expert panels, and a digital catalogue of artworks; the creation of a think tank and a festival makers’ working group to foster dialogue and exchange.
- Initiating Social Innovation Labs: Together with partners, focusing on youth mental health, workplace well-being, culture on prescription, and accessibility for people with disabilities, producing guidelines and toolkits for transnational transfer.
- Promoting Engagement & Advocacy: Through six CultureForHealth mobile hubs, international forums, and EU-wide campaigns to promote awareness, networking, and policy recommendations.
