About the project
“CircularPlace: Culture and Creative Industries, Circular Economy and Place” project is supported by Interreg Baltic Seed Money, and it runs from October 2020 to September 2021.
Circular Economy is being developed in the Baltic Sea Region, but at very varying speeds and in varying ways. There is however a gap in involving consumers in the Circular Economy at their local levels. CCI can play a key role in making the necessary connections between circular economy and society.
The aim of the Main Project (to result from the Seed Money project) will be to increase capacity building of innovation actors for upscaling CE systems in local places (communities) by giving key role to CCIs and involving consumers in active ways.
Activities will include: policy development, piloting implementation and creation of place-based structures and methods, creating networks between CCIs and relevant local place actors.
Outcomes will include: a roadmap for enabling policies for Circular Economy with Consumer and CCI involvement, realizing a number of pilot projects and creating a platform for CE relevant actors within CCIs and locally-based initiatives.
