Summary
How can creativity help other sectors think differently, grow sustainably, and build resilient societies?
This project explored how cultural and creative industries (CCIs) can spark innovation across sectors, shaping future policies and practices in the Northern Dimension countries.

What makes this project unique is its systematic mapping of cross-innovation across 11 countries, collecting 121 case studies and insights that demonstrate how CCIs can collaborate with sectors like technology, health, education, and the environment. By building evidence and fostering dialogue between creative professionals, policymakers, and other industries, the project provided a clear, practical roadmap for integrating CCIs into broader strategies for sustainable growth.
The project highlighted how sharing knowledge, experimenting together, and bridging sectors can generate new products, services, and ideas that respond to today’s complex challenges. As a foundation for the NDPC’s 2021–2024 strategy, it ensures that the creative and cultural industries remain at the heart of building resilient, inclusive societies in the Northern Dimension region.
