Invitation to the “Approaches to culture and health cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region” event
We are delighted to invite you to an interactive online event dedicated to “Approaches to culture and health cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region”. We are especially excited as during the event we will be launching “Talking Points: Arts and Health in Communities” guide that we have developed in collaboration with Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS).
The potential benefits of art and culture for health and well-being have been well studied and proven – but how to turn theory into practice? Which methods and approaches can we use to create cooperation between the health and cultural sectors that result in positive health outcomes? The Baltic Sea Region is rich in examples of such interventions, and approaches such as “Arts on Prescription” have been successfully piloted in several countries.
The interactive online event is moderated by Nils Fietje, research officer at WHO and is hosted at the art museum Brandts in Odense. During the event, we will showcase concrete examples of arts and health interventions piloted across the Baltic Sea Region and present the Arts on Prescription programme implemented in Odense Municipality in Denmark. Join us to learn about different ideas and methods and become part of a developing community of enthusiastic arts and health practitioners.
Register here to receive more information about the event, updates on the agenda, a link to connect as well as a link to rewatch the event after, as it will be recorded.
The event is jointly organised by Odense Municipality on behalf of the Interreg BSR “Arts on Prescription” project, the Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS) as the Coordinator of Policy Area Health in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) and the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC), with financial support from the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021-2027.
We warmly invite you to share the information about this event with anyone you think might be interested and apologise in case you receive it multiple times.
