The Northern Dimension (ND) was initiated in 1999 as a joint policy of four equal partners: the European Union (EU), the Russian Federation, Norway, and Iceland. From 8th of March 2022 the European Union, Iceland and Norway have have suspended until further notice all activities of the Northern Dimension policy which involve Russia. Read more.

The ND policy aims at supporting stability, well-being and sustainable development in the region through practical cooperation.
